Local Projects
CTED announces the second Request for Proposals (RFP) for local asset building activities.  Proposals are due June 13, 2008 at 5pm.

Building on last year’s work, last year CTED invested $604,000 in 12 communities to develop and expand the work of local asset building coalitions to benefit low income Washington families.   These state funds leverage over $3 million in local funds.  Coalitions include banks, credit unions, social service providers, housing and community action agencies, United Ways, local government and many other groups.  By working together, communities can greatly expand financial education and planning, debt reduction and credit counseling, free tax preparation and access to the EITC, and promoting and expanding savings and use of banks.

For information contact Paul Knox at (360) 725-4140.
